Electrodessication is a fast and simple medically directed procedure that uses electric current to remove skin tags, some brown spots and other skin concerns. This treatment is administered using a needle-shaped electrode to heat the skin in pinpoint precise areas and usually involves little-to-no downtime.

This treatment is safe on all skin types.

Should only be conducted by a trained professional who can spot potential pigment issues.  A test dose is offered at times when tolerances are being assessed.

-Not for a person with a pacemaker.
-Not for a person recently on Accutane.
-Something to consider if you scar easily.
-No active warts in area of treatment.
-No active infections in area of treatment.

What to expect during treatment:

  • We discuss the process with you.
  • You complete the disclaimers.
  • We will start the procedure
  • You will hear a beeping noise
  • A burning odor is normal.
  • It feels like a small electric shock
  • We discuss after care.

  • Minimal down time
  • Mild redness
  • Skin will appear grey in treated area.
  • Treated areas will scab over and heal.
  • Mild swelling
  • Bruising (rare)
  • Blistering (rare)

How can I prepare?

Before your treatment:

  • Do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.
  • Be prepared for some mild discomfort.
  • You may have to be gowned depending on area of treatment
  • The area will scab, keep this in mind when booking the appointment.


What should I be doing?



  • Do not pick at the treated area
  • Sunscreen should be worn at all times
  • Apply Vaseline for about 7-10 days until area is healed
  • May continue with daily routine.
  • Do not have waxing over treated area until healed.
  • Continue with any prescription creams
  • No make-up for 2 hours post treatment
